Kaitlyn Aubrey Klotzsche was born on Fathers Day [[June 21st]] at 11:53 am, she was 5lbs 10 oz and 19in. long. She is completely healthy and doing great, we are all very much in LOVE with her and are enjoying every second!

Here is our labor story:
On Saturday June 20th I was having some contractions they didn't really hurt, they were just super annoying I didn't pay much attention considering I had been feeling them off and on the last month or so, I still decided to time them, they were about 15-20 minutes apart, then around 11:30pm I stoop up and felt a big gush so I ran to the bathroom, I assumed my water had broke, there was also a little blood and when I wiped there was my PLUG...ewww. I yelled for Michael, we decided it was time to go to the hospital, my contractions started to come every 2-6 minuted nothing real regular but boy did they hurt. So we get to the hospital by now my contractions are 2-3 minutes apart and getting regular, they hook me up to monitors and check my cervix to see if I had dilated, she said NO, then she checked to see if my water had broke, the nurse says NO - I'm thinking to my self she must be crazy [[I know I didn't pee myself!]] so the nurse gives me two shots to stop the contractions because I'm only 35 weeks along, she tells us to go home but if the contractions return and are more than four an hour then we need to come back to the hospital. We get home around 2:30am and I passed out, at 4:38am I have a contraction so I get out of bed, I decide to start timing them, I don't have another one until 5:12, then I start having them about 20 minutes apart, then I'm up to eight an hour and I started to panic, they hurt so bad, but since it's now Fathers Day and there's a chance this is false labor I wait to wake Michael and Connor up until I realize it's now 7am and I've already had twelve [very painful] contractions in two in a half hours, so I jumped in the shower, get ready, I make sure all my bags and last minute stuff is packed and by the door. I wake Michael and Connor up at 7:45 and we get to the hospital by 8:15, I've had 23 contractions at this point, at 8:45 the nurse checks to see if my water had broken and says NO, then she tell me that I'm 4 cm dilated...wow, really? I couldn't believe it.
I get taken out of triage, put into my labor and delivery room and they tell Michael congratulations you're getting a baby for Fathers Day, we were just ecstatic. Finally by 10:30 I get to have an epidural, by this point I think I'm going to die because the contractions are so painful and are coming every 2-3 minutes and lasting a minute each...So the Doctor gives me the epidural, but it's not in the right spot so she redoes it, nope still not in the right spot...so after four attempts she finally gets it!! Wow..lady, are you sure you went to school for that? Then the nurse checks me again, now I'm 6cm dilated. At 11:00 my water breaks. At 11:30 I'm 9cm dilated and after only 4-5 minutes of pushing Kaitlyn was born at 11:53. I was in labor for a little over 7 hours and everything went so well. She is absolutely beautiful, she took to nursing very fast and the 3 of us [Connor, Michael and myself] are in love with her. Kaitlyns apgar scores were an 8 and 9. She passed all of her test in the hospital and they said for Kaitlyn being so little and 4 weeks early... she is doing better then they thought she would. Her whole face was a little bruised when she was born because she came out so fast and she was pressed against my pelvic bone, other than that she looks great. She looks just like Connor did when he was born except she is just a little smaller and she's in premie diapers and clothes, she is just the tiniest, cutest thing ever she looks like a little doll and she already has daddy wrapped around her little finger.
Life couldn't be anymore perfect!!
I'll post more pictures later

  1. Congratulations, Kisha and Michael! I'm so glad everything went well for you! Anne finally had her baby yesterday and all is well with them. So neat to have cousins born close together! Now go get some rest!
