Yes you read that right! This last Friday we had a flash flood.... Around midnight I woke up to feed the baby and you could hear the lightning, thunder and rain. Michael asked me to come outside with him to listen to the thunder and rain and try to get a picture of the lightning, so I did and we noticed the road had just a little stream but Michael and I were busy arguing about the camera and what setting it should be on to catch the lightning. About 15 minutes later we looked over and our road was completely gone, the water had risen so fast, it had come half way up our driveway. There was even a police man stuck across the street because the water had got so high and was flowing so fast, he couldn't cross the street. Within two hours the water had completely dissapeared but it was really scary, we thought the boat and our truck were going to be washed away. Part of Connor's bus stop did wash away and we never did get a picture of the lightning!! Here is a picture of our driveway - You can see how far part our mail box it came up, the back truck tire is on the right side of the picture.
